Sunday, 10 January 2010 Jayne Coulthard: MrsWhat an absolute haven! This place is the place me and my new husband call paradise. Could not fault in one way, the food was excellent, rooms fantastic, we did have the penthouse for a week though!!! Staff were superb, thanks to everyone who made our honeymoon so memorable, its really set the presidence for our next holiday as a married couple, i personally wouldnt go anywhere else now! Friday, 04 September 2009 Mark and Debbie from Hast...: Great HotelWe have just spent two wonderful relaxing weeks at the Sugar Cane Club starting 4th May. Everyone from the manager to the cleaners were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the gardens beautifully tended. If you get the chance try out the Penthouse, even if its just for a night or two. Tuesday, 02 June 2009 Amy Sherwood: I want to come back!!I came to the sugar cane club back in 1990 with my parents, I was 8 years old! I loved it so much i would jump at the chance at staying there again. I learned to swim in the little round swimming pool. I randomly googled it to see if the place was still there. i'm glad to see it's still going strong, seeing the pictures of what it looks like now brought back so many memories. If it's as great now as it was back then (from the reviews it sounds like it is) i would recommend it to anyone. Tuesday, 14 April 2009 Sue Jack Ashurst: ExcellentWe have just returned from 2 weeks at SCC where we had the most relaxing holiday ever. The staff are friendly and efficient, nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is equal to anything we have eaten at any top end restaurant on the island, both in taste and presentation. (Creig is one excellent chef). The shuttle bus takes you to the lovely Lower Carlton beach where all facilities are provided.
We wish you well with your new venture and hope to see you all later on this year. Monday, 09 March 2009 James Rabishaw and Jayne ...: Wonderful Hospitality! The newly renovated Sugar Cane Club Hotel and Spa is a fabulous vacation spot! The rooms are well appointed and spacious. Due to the size of the hotel, every staff member comes to know the guests and looks after their every wish!
Although we had to cut our vacation short due to illness, we thorougly enjoyed our brief stay at the hotel. The staff and management were most accommodating in our change of plans, and everyone was concerned for our well being . . .the benefit of a small hotel.
This is a wonderful location . . .it is quiet, away from the hussle and bussle, yet there is a daily shuttle into the nearest town as well as a shuttle to a private beach! What more can you ask for.
We will return! Tuesday, 03 February 2009 Guest: Relaxing getawayMy wife & I have just returned from a very relaxing two week break at the Sugar Cane Club. We just wanted to say what a fantastic location this is and pay tribute to the manager who has worked wonders on the refurbishments which have brought this hotel up to one of the most pleasant places to stay in Barbados. The staff were all very friendly and attentive but not intrusive. The food in the restaurant is of the highest standard and comparable with the best on the Island. The only comments I would make are not criticisms but observations of what may be done to make this an even more appealing destination. The provision of a ‘starter’ supply of coffee & tea in the room would be nice; it was fantastic to see the room equipped with a full compliment of kitchen appliances but when we arrived the first night we were unable to make ourselves a hot drink. We only had the option of a full meal in the restaurant at the equivalent of 1am UK time; it would have been nice to have had the option of a light snack instead. In fact it would be nice to have the option of a snack menu available throughout the day. The meal was of excellent quality but was wasted on our fading pallets. Fresh cafetiere coffee at breakfast would also have been preferable to instant. I am sure all these matters will be addressed as the manager was very keen to accept observations and went out of his way to engage personally with guests. I would unreservedly recommend my closest friends and family to stay at the Sugar Cane Club except those with children as they could become bored and disrupt the tranquillity of this wonderful relaxing location. It should be marketed as an adult only location to retain its ambiance. Saturday, 01 November 2008
