Government Barbados politics functions under the framework of a constitutional monarchy and a parliamentary government. Freedom of: speech, press, worship, movement and association are some of the constitutional safeguards which Barbadians enjoy. The political system is dominated by two main parties, the Barbados Labour Party and the Democratic Labour Party. - The Chief of State: Quuen Elizabeth represented by the Governor General Sir Clifford Husbands
