The Barbados Horticultural Society was formed in 1927. The society holds an annual Flower and Garden Show at the end of January at their headquarters in Balls, Christ Church. They have competed at the annual Chelsea Flower Show for the past 20 years and has obtained 15 golds, 2 silver gilt and 1 silver awards.
